Yellowfin Launches BI on Microsoft Azure

Global business intelligence (BI) and analytics software vendor Yellowfin is working with Microsoft Azure to deliver a free cloud BI offering, available via the Azure Marketplace.

Yellowfin on Azure allows companies to get started with BI in the cloud for free via the Azure Marketplace. With just a few clicks, users will be able to deploy an enterprise-grade BI environment, which includes a free 12-month three-user subscription license for Yellowfin.

"We have seen a marked increase in the number of direct clients and partners looking to implement and offer Yellowfin as a cloud-based deployment on Azure," said Yellowfin CEO Glen Rabie in a statement. "By collaborating with Microsoft to provide an official Yellowfin on Azure offering, we're delivering on the accessibility and affordability aspects that people love about the cloud.

"More and more companies are dealing with large, complex data issues and are in need of BI solutions," said Nicole Herskowitz, senior director of product marketing for Microsoft Azure, in a statement. "We are delighted that Yellowfin's BI platform is now available in the Azure Marketplace."

Yellowfin Director of Product Marketing, John Ryan, added that, together, Azure and Yellowfin provided a security-enhanced and scalable environment for software companies and consultancies looking to create managed software-as-a-service (SaaS) BI solutions for multiple clients.

"Yellowfin and Azure offer an ideal environment for BI software resellers and consultancies to take advantage of growing cloud adoption in the BI industry and provide fully-managed hosted Yellowfin environments for their clients on the Azure Marketplace," Ryan said in a statement.
