SugarCRM announced a new technology integration with VMware, a provider of virtualization and cloud infrastructure. The integration between SugarCRM and VMware vFabric Application Director 5.0 allows organizations to choose the type of cloud environment that best aligns with their business needs.

VMware vFabric Application Director 5.0 is an application provisioning solution that allows customers to reduce application deployment times from weeks to minutes and deploy any application into any cloud across the application lifecycle. With the release of VMware vFabric Application Director 5.0, applications can be deployed to heterogeneous clouds.

"SugarCRM's product line is used by VMware customers for critical customer information and driving customer engagement across the organization," said Shahar Erez, director of application management products at VMware, in a statement. "We are pleased to see SugarCRM provide a blueprint for a cloud-ready portable CRM solution for large enterprises that can be easily deployed, scaled, and updated in their private, public, or hybrid cloud environments using VMware vFabric Application Director."

"Giving customers the ability to run their CRM systems in a variety of cloud environments provides a real business advantage to organizations as their needs evolve over time," said Chuck Coulson, vice president of business development and alliances at SugarCRM, in the statement. "By collaborating with VMware, our customers have the ability to run on demand, on premises, or in the cloud. VMware vFabric Application Director makes it significantly easier to support the rapidly growing number of public and private cloud environments, giving customers the highest level of choice in the CRM market."
