SplendidCRM Announces Version 5.0 with Business Rules Engine

SplendidCRM Software, a provider of Microsoft-centric customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, is the first open-source CRM to offer a Business Rules Engine in all editions.

"Our Business Rules Engine (BRE) is just one more feature provided by Microsoft that we are able to integrate into our CRM. The Business Rules Engine is included in all editions, including the free Community Edition, thereby making it available to the widest audience possible.

The Business Rules Engine allows an end-user to define a condition and apply a rule in an If-Then-Else construct using a simple programming language. In addition to allowing business rules to be applied to a module, rules can also be applied to the user interface to allow customization and validation of entry forms. Users of the Enterprise Edition get the ability to create complex formulas within a workflow, extending what can be done without the need for a developer.

The SplendidCRM feature set continues to grow with an integrated email client that supports POP3, IMAP, and Exchange Server (on the Professional and Enterprise Editions). A number of existing features were updated to support Microsoft's latest releases, such as support for Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4.0, and Report Builder 3.0.
