Speech Analytics Vendor Voci Partners with Phone Service Provider Vaspian
Vaspian, a provider of VoIP phone service for small and midsized businesses throughout upstate New York, has teamed up with speech-to-text and voice analytics specialist Voci Technologies. The partnership will enable small and midsized businesses equipped with Vaspian's phone systems to use Voci's automated transcription and speech analytics tools.
Voci's technologies aim to empower businesses by gathering crucial customer information from companies' voice data. The vendor's speech analytics solution—which provides clients with emotional and gender identification capabilities, keyword spotting to identify trending topics, and analysis of agent performance—can be layered over Vaspian's existing voice services to extract insights from companies' phone interactions. According to Vaspian, this technology can provide significant returns for organizations in the healthcare, legal, medical, and emergency service industries and will be particularly useful for collections agencies in need of a call monitoring solution for TCPA compliance.
Voci's automated voice transcription service is available in three packages. The V-Blaze solution is designed for call center and survey centers and provides competitive accuracy and speed for conversion of speech-to-text. The V-Ferno solution offers automatic speech-to-text for visual voicemail, enabling users to skim voicemail transcriptions rather than listening to long recordings. Finally, the V-Purify solution aids organizations in compliance with the Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standards requirements.
"This particular partnership is valuable because for the first time, small and medium-size businesses will be able to not only have their telephony system and record their calls, but also analyze those calls, all in a single package," says Erika Latham, brand marketing manager at Voci. "SMBs don't have any of these silos between text analytics and voice analytics, or between a recording vendor and an analytics vendor. They don't have to negotiate anything between multiple vendors to try and find something that works—they just have it all right there."
Greg Schreiber, vice president of Vaspian, in a statement also stressed the value of democratizing such tools:
"At the core of Voci's platform is a highly accurate speech-to-text engine with powerful search and analysis capabilities. They've produced a product at the standards of a company like Apple, and we want all companies, not just massive enterprises, to have a shot at experiencing the benefits of this kind of technology."
