Aegis Rolls Out Proactive Intelligence Suite
Aegis, a business services and experience management company, today launched its new business intelligence services suite, Aegis Proactive Intelligence (Pi). Aegis Pi enables users to gain insights into data streams, analyze operations metrics, and get global perspectives of their organizations in real time through a mobile interface.
The business intelligence industry has grown from a $1.6 billion market in 2003 to nearly $8 billion nine years later, according to Gartner, the research firm. In addition, business intelligence platforms that include mobile capabilities are expected to become increasingly common as more people work on tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices.
In its Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms report, Gartner predicts that by the end of 2012, a majority of organizations should have "some mobility solutions in place," and by next year, 33 percent of BI functionality will be consumed via handheld devices.
Aegis Pi is designed to correlate multiple events and identify patterns to help managers make more informed decisions on the go. Aegis also provides a team of domain experts who can collaborate with clients to alter or develop new processes based on the insights gathered from the business intelligence suite.
