Adobe Introduces New Cloud-Based Tools for Marketers

In the latest move to further strengthen its position in the digital marketing space, Adobe unveiled several new additions yesterday for its Web Experience Management (WEM) product, Adobe CQ.

At the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit EMEA in London, the company introduced CQ Cloud Manager, CQ eCommerce, and CQ 5.5 Social Communities.

CQ Cloud Manager is a SaaS application that enables enterprises to launch marketing initiatives in the cloud. Part of the Adobe Digital Marketing Suite, CQ Cloud Manager gives digital marketers access to an integrated set of cloud-hosted WEM services to create, manage, measure, and optimize personalized experiences on Web sites, mobile devices, and social media.

Through an integration with hybris, the German-based multichannel commerce and communication software maker, CQ eCommerce helps digital marketers manage and optimize the entire buying process on Web sites, mobile devices, and social media. Additionally, customers have the option of integrating Adobe WEM with their e-commerce platforms of choice, via a standard set of included application programming interfaces.

CQ 5.5 Social Communities enables organizations to provide a Facebook or Twitter login option on their own Web sites and then personalize the consumer's experience based on profile information. Additionally, marketers can combine profile information with data from additional sources, such as a customer relationship management system or Web site profile, to create a single view of the customer.

CQ Social Communities also includes new plug-ins such as the "Like" button and activity feeds, helping marketers further strengthen the connection between their digital properties and social networks by letting customers share content and purchases with friends.

All three products are now available to users, confirms Matt Langie, director of product marketing for Adobe's digital marketing business. "Adobe is continuing to help marketers move things forward with the content they're developing and publishing on their own media...we're also helping customers understand the impact of their investments in content marketing with our other products, like SiteCatalyst," Langie says. "We're helping customers connect the dots in ways other companies can't."
